Kiln Rentals

Rentable Space in our 10 Cubic ft Kiln

  • Kiln rental pickups and drop offs are only available during open hours, listed online and on Google.
  • We cannot accommodate firing outside of rental schedule (dates below).
  • We provide cone 08 bisque and cone 6 (not 06) glaze firings (at different costs)- no once firing.
  • Confirmation of clay bodies and glazes used will be necessary for firing in our kilns.

  • Glaze Pass-One Time

    Includes access to Studio and Studio Glazes during Casual Member Access Hours.
    Access is only granted during stated hours, and timing must be confirmed with Studio.

Kiln Schedule
  • Squiggle rents kiln space by the shelf (half or full). Have less? Contact us for by piece firings.

  • Shelf Measurements: 24 x 24 inch Full Circle, 24 x 12 inch Half Circle

  • Squiggle currently offers 1 Community Bisque and 1 Community Cone 6 Glaze firing per month

  • Firings are 3 days- pickup emails will be sent out

  • Pieces must be picked up within 1 month

  • Bisque Firings and Glaze Firings are different costs (see above)

  • Each Community Kiln firing is limited to maximum 1 Full Shelf per person, anything beyond requires either a Full Kiln Rental, or waiting for the next available firing

  • If amount of work surpasses shelf rental, by piece charge will be invoiced.

  • Maximum height for pots is 6 inches, taller requires confirmation by Studio

  • Firing costs include staff labour, storage on site, utilities, the firing itself, and potential damage to kiln equipment

  • Interested in our glazes? A Glaze Pass is required! Pass covers all your pieces for your scheduled kiln firing, a single day, unlimited hours during our Open Studio Access Hours.

  • As much as we care equally for all pieces and pride ourselves in successful firings, work that is too wet or too thick (1 inch) will not be fired. Squiggle is not liable for any explosions, glaze runs, breakage, or other potential "acts of the Kiln Gods". You will be requested to sign a confirmation of these details upon dropping off your pots.
