Break Down: All materials (clay, tools, decorating materials, glaze) included. Carbon Paper will be provided for assist with transferring pre-made designs. Pre-made designs are not fully necessary, on-site imagery options will be provided. Firing included. 1 Tile per attendee. Tiles will be bisque fired white clay (cone 6) and fired on-site.

All tiles will be 6x9 inches with mounting holes for vertical or horizontal mounts. Mounting mechanisms are not included in workshop. Tiles will be safe for outdoor use.


Learn the traditional wax decorating technique, Cuerda Seca, to create personalized door numbers. Design, resist, and fill your designs in this very approachable, almost paint-by-number technique. Using a collection of glazes with a wide variety of textures and colours, create a beautiful, historically (or contemporary!) influenced door number. Black and clear wax available.

Zoe will instruct you step by step through the process. Information will be provided for mounting after completion.

Tiles will be available for pick up 2-3 weeks prior to end of session.
