Age Level: 16+
Course Level: Some experience required or intermediate on the wheel, can throw and center at least 1.5 lbs of material. Not recommended for those who have not taken a wheel class or do not have some comfort at the wheel. Not sure if this class is right for you? Reach out to us!

Break Down: All tools and clay included. Firings are not included- intention is to reclaim majority of pieces thrown (learning to let go!).

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Students may cancel their space in a class up to 48 hours ahead of the sessions start date. Upon cancelling, you will be refunded class cost and HST, minus 5% due to transaction and refund fees paid by the studio. If you wish to pass the class onto a friend, you may do this free of charge. 
We offer full refund in the form of studio credit if desired.

Want to become more consistent with your wheel throwing?

Have you been struggling with consistency on the wheel? Wanting to create multiples, but not quite there yet? Not sure how to expand your skill sets? This ultra hands-on wheel throwing class is designed to get you into the realm of throwing multiples, primarily looking at cylinder and bowl forms.

This course will be broken down into three classes, each class focusing on pushing your skill sets to the next level. Rachael will be covering the throwing processes, how to use diy-tombo sticks, callipers, laser levels, gauges, and everything in between to help your practice. The goal is consistency and quantity, not necessarily keeping your forms. If it doesn't make the cut-reclaim it! 

Pushing the art of letting go, the expectation is to help release you from the concept of "I must keep everything", to a less precious view of your pots. The intention is to help students get better, and to let go of things that don't work out, moving on in your practice. The more you cycle through the process, physically and mentally, the better maker you become.

In this class, kiln firings are not included. If you truly wish to keep some pieces, you may bring them home/to your own studio unfired, or fire with us, however firings fees will be applied. They may range in cost either by-item or by-shelf. Please ask instructor or studio for more details.
If you are a member, you may do what you wish with your pieces.
